How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

This cache is part of my HPG (Hathersage Park and Grab) series, a series of caches hidden at places around the interesting village of Hathersage, where Little John is said to be buried. All the caches can be done as Park and Grabs, or are no more than 2 minutes away from the road. Please replace all caches as found and be respectful when parking and do not block access to any of the residents properties/land.

This stretch of road is known by locals as 'The Flying Mile', as many people used to test the speed of their cars along here. There is a cycle track aswell between Hathersage and Bamford, or you could take a more peaceful route along the River Derwent.

The cache is a micro film can with no pen (BYOP). There is parking available in the layby at GZ but it can get full of lorrys at night/early morning so watch out. The cache is in the layby, there is no need to cross the main road or reach through the barbed wire. Once you have found please replace hint item and cache with lid SECURELY on so the rain won't get in.

A lot of effort goes into buying/making, placing and submitting caches, so please try to put more than just TFTC, nice quick find, Found or just a smiley face when you log our caches, thanks.
