Los primeros puentes metálicos se hicieron de hierro fundido; la mayoría tienen estructuras poco claras, heredadas de los de piedra y de madera. En esta mal llamada autovia o carretera desdoblada hay 7 pasarelas que permiten cruzar esta via, algunos de ellos muestran destacadas vistas a la bahia de Portmany o a la cuidad de Ibiza. Esta pasarela esta acristalada y cerrada en todo el tramo aéreo por estar cercana a zona de afluencia de dos discotecas y se suele utilizar mucho de noche, asi se evita que haya problemas con objetos lanzados a la calzada o los mismos viandantes que puedan tirarse ; )
