The Musée St Paul Museum designs an annual geotour that changes every year ... (you are invited to walk through the museum exhibits looking at the different displays, collecting clues that will provide you with the location for the cache) - the geotour will take you approx. 30 to 60 min. to complete. THE GEOTOUR IS AVAILABLE ALL SUMMER LONG (if you can't make it to the event today).
This year the Museum is pleased to announce that we will have a restored 1926 Durant Star Automobile on display, as well as other smaller display changes to the already extensive displays available for viewing.
There will be a Free lunch, Entertainment and Free Access to the Museum Today only (which is wheelchair accessible and a wheelchair is available).
Look for Yellowmojo (Cynthia) - she should be near the table handing out the geotour sheets, answering any questions you may have and hopefully will have the opportunity to trade some pathtags.
The Event will run at the Musée St Paul Museum (5413 – 50 Avenue St. Paul, AB), from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please remember to log "will attend" and please include the number of people in your group - it will help with planning the amount of food.
Also, play an old time game, 'Find the Thimble' ... a thimble will be hidden in plain view, somewhere in the museum... If you can find it, you can enter your name for a $100 prize draw to be done in September 2016!
Lots to see, do and eat ... come one, come all :)
BIG Thanks to the Musée St Paul Museum for sharing their facilities and providing the food for this event.
P.S. Did you know there are local geocaching groups on facebook? Check out ... 'Lakeland Geocachers' or 'Geocaching Edmonton' ... another great way to connect with geocachers in the area.
Last but not least, Cold Lake, Ab will be hosting the Mega event this year and 2 satellite events will be held in the Town of St Paul - Visit Sails, Rails & Tails. http://sailsrailstails.com/ for more info
Looking forward to seeing you all at the geotour - Rain or Shine! (the museum has a large covered deck and the geotour is indoors)
