Geocache Description:

This is a new cache in our series Herefordshire Village Churches.  This time we have featured St Mary's Church in Fownhope. 


 St Mary's is one of the longest in Herefordshire 120feet and dates from the 12c with later additions in 13c and 15c.

 It is famous for it's superb 12c tympanum beautifully carved around 1140AD.

There are many other interesting features and more can be found online.

 

 This is a multi cache and after collecting the details from around the church grounds .

There are no gravestones to search.

 

The cache can be found aprox quarter of a mile away with parking.
