Geocache Description:


1586 m. rugsėjo 22 d. istorijos šaltiniuose paminėtas Pačeriaukštės laukas. 1750 m. istorijos šaltiniuose paminėtas Pačeriaukštės dvaras.[2] 1923 m. Lietuvos gyventojų surašymo duomenyse minimas Pačeriaukštės palivarkas.

1949–1991 m. Pačeriaukštė – „Laisvosios žemės“ kolūkio centrinė gyvenvietė.[3] Šis kolūkis 1979 m. pasirašė kūrybinio bendradarbiavimo sutartį su LTSR dailininkų sąjunga, kasmet skirdavo premijas dailininkams už kūrinius kaimo tematika. Restauruotuose Butautų dvaro rūmuose įrengta kaimiškoji dailės galerija, greta įrengtas nedidelis etnografijos ir dailės muziejus.

Šalia kaimo teka Čeriaukštė, nuo kurios ir kilo kaimo pavadinimas.
