The Newtown Bee has been the hometown newspaper and news outlet of Newtown, Connecticut, since June 1877. R. Scudder Smith is the Publisher, and Curtiss Clark is the Editor. The newspaper is published by early Thursday afternoon each week, with that Friday’s date.

All caches in this series require varying levels of stealth as this is heavily traveled area. While the caches could easily be P&G, I highly recommend walking the series and enjoying lovely Newtown. Many parking areas are available but it is suggested to park in the Big Y lot on Queen Street to start. All caches can be reach by walking on sidewalks – although busy street crossing is required. Depending upon the route, the series is less than 2 miles and can easily be made into a leisurely loop.
