Geocache Description:

The mighty Wolves

The Tea Tree Gully Football club, then known as the Rifles, first recorded game was against 'The Adelaidians' near Modbury on August 30 1862. The match was played on what was kindly described as "a fallow paddock a Modbury".

For the record, there were no umpires and the game started around 5:15pm, "The Adeladians" kicked it's second goal this amounted to an unsurpassed lead and the game was declared in their favourite 2 goals to nil. This game is one of the first  ever recorded in South Australia.

This cache is a replacement of one located nearby which was mugged several times, so a new location has been found.
