Eighth in a series of quick events for no reason other than we can!
I'll try to make them all at an interesting or historical place, as close to at least one cache as possible and not too far away from a pub!</p>
This one's behind Colchester Castle. In 1648, during the Second English Civil War, the Royalist leaders Sir Charles Lucas and Sir George Lisle were executed just to the rear of the castle. Local legend has it that grass will not grow on the spot on which they fell. A small obelisk now marks the point and this is where we'll be meeting.
Meet at the coords any time between 7:00pm and 7:30pm, we'll have a group photo at 7:25pm then off home or off to the nearby pub!
There are loads of caches nearby, but the nearest is A Walk In The Park - Storm The Castle (GC2YKQ2).
The usual trackable bucket will be in attendance. [:-)]
Parking in public car parks I'm afraid.
