History - This area has not always been called Shenley Lodge, from August - October 1986 it was a housing exhibition called 'Energy World' and consisted of 51 low-energy houses and was promoted by the Milton Keynes Development Corporation. Based on the results and feedback from Energy World, the UK's first national energy efficiency rating scheme for buildings was produced, with the launch in 1990 of the National Home Energy Rating scheme. If you've got time why not explore the interesting houses which are mainly at the other end of the estate, including one that is not only round but is partly buried.
Dont be fooled that the pub also looks new, this is because it was rebuilt in 2007 after a fire, there has been a pub on that site way before Milton Keynes was ever thought about. When the pub was reconstructed it was agreed that the rain water from the roof would feed into the pond, that way maintaining the water level for the wildlife.
Getting Here - There is plently of street parking surrounding the cache. It goes without staying to always park safetly and with consideration for the locals.
The Cache - You are looking for a 15cm long tube which has been hidden near one of the ponds. Not normaly a high muggle area and you shouldn't get to many on lookers from the pub.
