Located just a short walk up the hill from Dunphys Camping Area is Iron Pot Mountain. Just on the edge of the Blue Mountains National Park, this area offers spectacular views to the North West over to Table Mountain.
This is a fantastic area to explore, but do be careful of the unfenced cliffs! There are many ‘pots’ to be found here, as well as sharpening grooves. The area is probably also perfect for an Earthcache, if anyone feels so inclined. I would also highly recommend taking the walk out to Tin Pot Hill, which also offers some great views.
Enjoy your walk, the exploring and the views! I normally cross here on my way down Ironmonger Spur to the junction of Breakfast Creek and the Coxs River.
