Geocache Description:

Te Manatu Park is a local park which is currently an open, undeveloped space covering more than 9 hectares.  In 2015 the Hamilton City Council Parks and Open Spaces conducted consultation on draft park plans.

The final concept plans have now been developed and include removal of the three existing poplar trees - to be replaced with suitable specimen tress, additional carparking and access routes, and a destination playground.  Most of the existing empty space will remain, but there will be additional pathways and plantings to break up the area.

This is a great park to bring your four legged friends, fly a kite, kick a ball around or learn to ride a bike.  If you're lucky and visit when the grass is at full length, you may even witness a local contracting team making hay - a great adventure for the younger ones!

After many "seeks", we thought it was time for a "hide".  This is not supposed to be a difficult find, but given that our first find was a nano, our first hide is also a nano.  You may need to utilise the fence post for additional height. Log only, BYOP
