The Carbondale Public Library is hosting an introduction to Geocaching program. The event is open to beginners – people who have never geocached before, have made a few finds and want to learn more, and/or haven’t attended an event cache yet. Experienced geocachers may attend though they may personally not get much out of the program except for a chance to tell great geocaching stories and get a smiley. (Though if you have family and friends you want to introduce to geocaching, now might be a good opportunity.)
The program will be held at the Carbondale Public Library, 5 North Main St. Carbondale, PA on Saturday, May 14th from 1-3PM. (Free parking behind the library.) We will be discussing the basics of geocaching, walking through the geocaching.com website, and helping to set up accounts. There will be temporary sample caches to find afterwards.
The program is open to families and adults. Registration is appreciated. Please bring a smartphone or GPS device.
