This cache will bring you NEAR "A Huggable Tree" located in Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve.
This Champion American Beech Tree is over 250 years old. "It is registered as the largest American beech tree in New York State. The tree began growing in the 1750s, before the Declaration of Independence was signed!" The cache is located not too far from this amazing tree. If you want, take the time to hug this tree and take a photo to post with your log. Not a requirement just a little added fun!
The trails at Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve are open sunrise to sunset. Visitors are requested to sign in and out at the main trailhead kiosk and obey the posted rules.
