Geocache Description:

It is another park gone to the dogs.

Since the softball leagues stopped using this ballfield in Valley of the Moon Park, dog owners have been using the fenced in area as an off-leash dog park. The city government eventually realized the value of having frequent visitors throughout the day and evening and has now designated it to be an official dog park. Plans are being made to add double door gates and a few other amenities to draw dog owners and subtly push other undesired activities away from the park.

You are looking for a small-size unusual container just a short distance into the woods. These woods often have homeless camps, but the city has thinned out the edges of the woods to discourage such use near the park, and the cache is within that edge area.

The trees and surrounding hills make GPS readings very jumpy in the woods. There might be kryptonite here too. You might want to get solid readings on your GPS while on the bike path before heading into the woods.
