Geocache Description:

The "greenline" is an old railway embankment, cutting and trackbed that was formerly a Midland Railway route to London via Melton Mowbray. Closer to the A52 ring road, the track remains in place with the line electrified to form a test bed for new mainline and Underground motive power. It is now a wild life corridor that extends through West Bridgford, a very suburban area of the city.

When you get here, you are very close to busy arterial roads into the city but could be out in the countryside with plenty of attractive vegetation and abundant birdlife to enjoy. There are lots of muggles, doggles and joggles, so keep your wits about you as you search! The greenline can be accessed at both its ends and in the middle too, via Devonshire Road, off Melton or Musters Roads. Parking can be found around the Ludlow Hill area, also off Melton Road.
