Geocache Description:

A stroll from the road at Darragh bridge on the Mitchelstown-Kilfinane road. Parking is avaliable at the old Darragh creamery.

It can also be approached on foot from Ballorgan village (with its own geocache) via the Molanna loop walk. This is a very rewarding walk but sturdy footwear is needed after any wet spell.

Darragh lies in the foothills of the Ballyhouras and is a good starting point for many fine walks. Many of these walks include the beautiful beech wood in the Darragh woods.

Along the Keale river, past the cache, it is peaceful and quiet, with very active wildlife such as otters, dippers, kingfishers, herons and squirrels. You will also come accross one of the last oak tree woodland left in Ireland with many anemone, bluebells or mushrooms depending on the time of year. In October/ November it is possible to see salmon jumping over the waterfall on the river.

The stroll from Darragh bridge to the cache is fenced off and starts with a boardwalk. Further on there are many little bridges.
There is a series of caches on this walk
