This is our second cache that we have placed, and we chose this spot because it's close to someone who is very special to us!
Some of you might be wondering why it is called Mito cache, and this is because our special person is affected by Mitochondrial disease, which is a very complex genetic disease. It affects our mitochondria, which are present in nearly every cell of our body and are very important because they produce energy. Organs with high energy demands such as the brain and heart are greatly affected by this horrible disease!
Despite this, our special person continues to develop in his own little ways and amazes us everyday with wonderful smiles and cuddles. Therefore, I thought it would be lovely for him and his family to know that we have placed this cache specially for them :)
