Geocache Description:

On April 29, 2016 the University of Calgary officially marks its 50th Anniversary, launching a year-long celebration for students, faculty and staff. In honour of this milestone, the Faculty of Science invites you to find this “scientific” geocache (hopefully the first in a Science series).

On April 29, 2016 the University of Calgary officially marks its 50th Anniversary, launching a year-long celebration for students, faculty and staff. In honour of this milestone, the Faculty of Science invites you to find this “scientific” geocache. If you are an alumnus or a current student, take some time when you’re on campus to revisit your favourite places and spaces and spend a few moments searching for this cache. If you are new to campus - WELCOME! Please enjoy a relaxing walk or ride across campus. This cache is a good introduction to geocaching. It's shouldn't be too hard to find and is close to a paved pathway. Remember, not all caches are in plain sight. Please note that you can park on campus, but you do have to pay for it. Alternatively, park just off campus in a suitable location (check the signs) and walk over, or better still take the LRT to the C-Train University Station (GC3B4P2, a tricky hide) or a bus.

The cache is a large plastic jar and contains a small prize for the FTF, a few free pens and some packets of wildflower seeds.
