Parking and kayak launch is at Cooper Bayou Park and is located at 709 Bayshore Blvd., Clearwater. It is a City of Clearwater park and is free to park and launch.
This is a series of cache's that my daughter and I have set in and around Cooper's Bayou. I would recommend launching and searching on a high tide. The caches are test tubes with red caps tethered (zip tied) to trees and were set from the kayak, there should be no need to leave the boat. They were purposely placed in nice shady spots. Our hope is that you have a nice peaceful paddle and enjoy the beauty of the Bayou. Please take pictures and post them in the gallery. Note that the land that you are paddling through (shallow canals) and around is either private property or environmetally sensitive land.
The logs are waterproof and should hopefully last awhile, please bring your own pen.
