Geocache Description:


The Grand River stretches 280km from it's source near Dundalk to it's mouth at Lake Erie by Port Maitland. It starts at an elevation of 525 meters and drops down to 174 meters.

Our goal is to paddle the entire Grand River enjoying the scenery and sharing great memories with friends along the way. We started our journey here at sideroad 250 just west of Hiway 10, as the river upstream from here is not paddlable. This first day we paddled 18.9km.

It is best to kayak the northern part of the Grand River in early Spring or after a good rain. Or wading is always an option but wear good shoes as there are a lot of rocks on the river floor.

You are looking for a magnetic tin on the underside footbridge, directly above the water. You should be able to see it from the right angle, but you will need a tool to retrieve it.
