Today, on my dad's birthday, I thought I'd place a cache in his honour, and share this historic spot with other geocachers.
At it's most southerly location this large green space has a stand of majestic tall evergreens, a lovely lookout over the Somass River and the 'Orange Bridge' now painted grey. It accommodates many old time residents of the Alberni Valley. There is no need to disturb any sites nor any of its adornments as this small camo'd pill bottle sits along the outer edge, amongst fir, hemlock and a cherry tree. To be respectful, this site should be visited during daylight hours only. BYOP.
