Here, in this place, was shot down on May 7, 1944, English Royal Air Force Bomber by German antiaircraft located in 'Fantana cu Nuc' (Walnut Fountain).
The five crew members removed from the remains of the plane were:

Pilot of the plane torched, on his final effort, intentionally has avoided Comana village preventing loss of human lives.
Comana village have taken out those in the plane crashed in this place, they washed after customs and showed them re erence, depositing them in the crypt Heroes of World War I, in the Monastery which houses the remains of great voivode Vlad Tepes (Dracula).
They afterwards buried in the Christian Orthodox tradition, job being committed by Nicola Militaru, the village priest.

ps2: You can't rent Kayak from Adventure Park Comana, because they have their own lake which is way smaller. There are on FB some events on that place with Kayak.
ps3: To put your Kayak on water immediately after the bridge, before entering the Comana Village, take a right on a non-paved road, and put your Kayak at: 44.179765, 26.135575 because it's a very convenient place.
