For more years than most of us have been alive, "Bloody" Robgso (an epithet that comes from his propensity for lacerating himself, also prompting his motto "No blood, no fun") has managed, with varying degrees of success, to portray himself as a productive member of society — you know, working a day job, paying his dues into the system, keeping himself out of the big house, that kind of thing. All this has come to an end, though, for Bloody Rob is retiring, reportedly voluntarily, from the full-time workforce and will now have to occupy his days engaging in other activities, among which geocaching is rumored to be a substantial part. Quelle surprise, right? On Sunday, May 29, Join us as we celebrate the old Trail Dawg's newfound freedom from the shackles of labor and his initiation into the exclusive ranks of Those Who Get to Geocache More Than the Rest of Us.
- Where: Shelter #1, Bryan Park, Greensboro, NC
- Event starts: 2:00 pm
- Event ends: 4:00 pm (or whenever the whole business gets too much to take)
- We will provide: hot dogs, buns, condiments, bottled water
- You may bring: a potluck dish (optional), drinks of your own choosing (sadly, alcohol is not allowed in the park, no matter how much we might need it for this event), and a geocaching container (also optional) that you can donate to a certain senior citizen with plenty of time for giving back to the geocaching community. (Um, that is your most immediate plan, right, Rob?)
If you do plan attend the event, please post a "Will Attend" log by May 25, and indicate whether you plan to bring a dish, even if tentatively, so we can get an idea of the provisions we need to provide.
