This is not only one of my favorite places in the MLCT system (mostly because it is along the Neck River), but it is only a short walk from my house, so my "geo-pup" and I come here very frequently. You can use the trailhead mentioned for either MLCT 2 or 3 to get to this one, and pick up the those two while you are in the area!
Founded in 1964, the Madison Land Conservation Trust (MLCT) was one of the first Land Trusts, both in Connecticut and the nation. Please see the map on the Madison Land Trust website. For further information about these trails, a book with comprehensive descriptions of each trail is available at the Madison public library and for sale at RJ Julia Bookstore.
This cache has 3 stages and a final, skirting my MLCT 2 hide. All stages should be light snow friendly. Not all stages recommended for young kids.
