This is our first Bike-It series which we hope to add to in the future. Series 1 is a 32km circuit around the lanes of Wimborne, Dorset, all easily accessible by bike. Note that Dorset is a hilly county, you will need a reasonable level of fitness to complete this circuit in one go. However, we have set it with leisure cyclists in mind i.e. there is no off-roading, there are safe areas to pull your bike off the road for each cache, and most importantly, there are occasional country pubs and a lovely tea room (just off route opposite church at Sturminster Marshall, open weekends Easter - Autumn) to keep you going! Depending on your fitness, cache-finding ability and extra stops the whole circuit will take 2-4 hours.
Caches are not too far apart but enough to gobble up the distance, and we have deliberately used a wide variety of cache containers to keep the interest going all the way round. There is one cache that is large enough to take several trackables. Some are easier to find than others, but those that take a little longer give you a chance to have a drink while you think!
