Fra Bognes går det ferge over Vestfjorden til Lødingen (riksvei 85). Fergen bruker 60 minutter fra Bognes til Lødingen. Ferga til Lødingen er den naturlige forbindelsen sørfra til Lofoten, Vesterålen og Harstad.
