Il territorio di Jesolo è famoso per le sue belle spiagge e per il divertimento che offre, tuttavia sono presenti anche elementi di grande importanza storica. La Torre Caligo è certamente una costruzione di grande interesse, si tratta di un’antica fortezza medioevale che si erge sulle rive del canale Caligo; fu costruita dai veneziani come postazione di guardia. Al tempo infatti tutti i canali che erano diretti in laguna erano sorvegliati, inoltre nei pressi della torre erano presenti anche dei terreni coltivati che venivano così protette da eventuali razzie. Torre Caligo fungeva anche da stazione per il pedaggio ma quando i traffici vennero spostati fu smantellata per poterne riutilizzarne i materiali. Oggi i suoi ruderi si mostrano in un fascino molto particolare, capace di suggerire sensazioni di tempi passati.
