100 Years: Green Utah Dino!
Nearby this cache location you'll see a familiar site for many Americans and Utahns, an All-American company that is headquartered in Utah, with their iconic dinosaur logo. Today (May 1st, 2016) marks exactly 100 years since this company was founded by one of the early 1900s Titans of Industry (or Robber Barons, depending on whom you ask). A bio of this American businessman can be found here.
I won't mention their name, and the image only resembles the actual company's logo (since that is against Geocaching.com rules), but being an important part of both our country's and Utah's history (and being a history buff), I thought it would be educational and fun to leave a cache commemorating this centennial. If you want to learn more about the company's history 100-year, see this recent news article: Celebrating 100 Years of Business.
So whether you are stopping just for a breather, need to gas up, are a fan of dinosaurs (initial swag) or are excited to find an increasingly rare "Regular"-sized geocache, I hope you enjoy it!
