Laird Memorial Mystery Cache

This memorial sits in front of what was once the Laird School. The school originally taught 1st through 10th grades, however, it was eventually cut back to 1st through 6th grade. Due to declining attendance it closed in the early 90's and the students from the area began attending school in L'Anse instead. All that remains of the school is this well worn tribute to honor "our men and women who served their country defending the principles of justice, freedom, and democracy."

The cache is not located at the given coordinates. To find the physical container you must visit the memorial at the posted coordinates and conduct the following computations:

There are two "flags" on the memorial, count the stars on the center flag to find AB. Add this number to the last two digits of the given latitude. 

There is one phrase displayed twice on the memorial. Count the number of letters in one occurrence of this phrase and add it to the number of stars NOT in a flag, banner, or emblem to find CD. Add this number to the last two digits of the given longitude. 

Final = N 46° 45.8XX+AB   W 088° 45.5XX+CD.

The cache is a two quart sized tupperware container. Please rehide as well or better than it was when you found it.
