New container, no longer a wooden box. new location (but nearby old location). No need to walk the steep slippery trail down to the riverbank. Almost a PG now. Updated: N 48’ 50.019. W 113.30.228 Congratulations fun4thebrauns on FTF! Troy's Wood Box will start your journey into the Many Glacier Valley of Glacier National Park. The road follows swiftcurrent creek. The cache is is accessible year round, however winter weather road conditions in Babb, Montana are for the expert drivers only.
This may be a tough one. Cell phone reception in the valley is poor at best so you will need a GPS to find this cache. The coordinates will get you to the parking area and within 20 ft. This is bear country so off pavement travel should be done in pair, carry bear spray and make some noise. You don’t need to sneak up on a geocache. Respect all wildlife and be sure to keep your distance. Wildlife is wildlife. CITO
