Consider the Birds #3 Traditional Cache

Life in dead trees? What is a dead tree good for besides hiding a Geocache there? In the US, about 85 species of birds, at least 50 mammal species, and other reptiles and amphibians rely on snags for shelter, food, mating, resting, nesting and other critical functions.  So much for the “dead wood” notion. Woodpeckers especially love dead trees for their buggy meals. Do you have a dead tree on your property?Consider leaving it around and providing for wildlife!

This is a hunting zone!  Be aware of West Virginia hunting months.  Think about searching after Turkey and Deer seasons have passed.

Stay on Rush Run Trail to reach the cache area.  You’re looking for a small ammo can.  Remember , you must exit by 3:30PM if you are parked at the Trailhead or visitor center.  If you are planning to be out there after 3:30PM park in the one of the parking areas before the bridge.
