The Fray was formed in 2002 in the American state of Colorado. In 2005 they realised their debuted album how to save a life and the first single Over My Head. The next single How to Save a Life is the bands highest charting song to date, holding 15 weeks on the Adult top 40.
The band’s first song major international success made the top fine in, Australia, Canada, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden and the UK. The songs success can be partly credited to being used on the popular TV show Grey’s Anatomy and has featured on the series Scrubs, One Tree Hill, Ghost Whisper, The Hills, NCIS, 8th & Ocean, Cold Case, Waterloo Road and Echo Beach, it was also used in the promo of the TV series Casualty.
