Per la costruzione delle fortificazioni della "Linea Cadorna", e a servizio delle stesse, fu realizzata una fitta ed estesa rete di strade. Molti di questi tracciati si possono tuttora percorrere perchè costruiti a regola d'arte: le strade militari sono state la più utile eredità lasciata dalla Linea Cadorna in molte zone della montagna alpina.
Così recita l'introduzione nel pannello informativo all'inizio del tratto della strada militare, chiusa al traffico, che porta dai Roccoli Lorla alla postazione di San Sfirio, pochi metri sotto la cima del Monte Legnoncino.

The roads of "Cadorna Line". A thick and wide system of roads was built to link the fortifications. Many of those roads are still practicable and considered the most useful patrimony left by "Cadorna Line".
This is the introduction to the historical importance of these roads as reported on the informative panel at the beginning of the military road that leads from Roccoli Lorla to the posting of San Sfirio, a few meters from the top of Mt. Legnoncino.
