"Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction"
Friends are NOT always closer than a brother. I found that out the hard way on my last geocaching run. We had bushwhacked our way into the woods for about a mile and had not marked our entrance with a waypoint. It was at that moment we realized the batteries were dead in the GPS and the only cell phone was at 3% Fortunately the backup unit ran on BBQ and we had some of that in the car. Unfortunately, we were parked in a No Parking zone and our car was towed away. With no form of transportation I stay very still, almost comatose, and let the world go dark hoping that the near future would offer something new and different. While the world went dark we found the cache by ignoring the hint. By battling the cold and the snow upon the ground, I made it to the point of no return. Looking looking looking at every crack and about to give up when I spotted a creature flying nearby.
