This cache is eggactly 261.79km from the spot we collected it from – as a bird flies.
We picked up the egg/cache from Chelsea, a chook who lays micro caches in the form of pill containers. Chelsea is the brainchild of gracie7+mum, who placed Chelsea and ensure her nest is full of eggs.
We collected a couple to place in the Nelson area and this is the first.
You don’t have to go back to Chelsea’s nest so it is a much shorter walk for you – in fact less than 1km if you park at S41 14.971 E173 19.114. The nearby cache, Off-Track? also has full instructions. The cache is in a rocky nest, softened by grass but protected by another couple of rocks.
Chelsea already has 24 hatched chicks so this is number 25.
