Die Talschaft Heimisbach hiess bis 1967 "Dürrgraben". Am 1 Januar 1968 erhielt sie zum 100. Geburtstag des Mundartdichters Simon Gfeller (8.4.1868 - 8.1.1943 nach dessen Erstlingswerk den heutigen Namen "Heimisbach".
