Københavns Hestedrosche
Update: As of August 2017, Københavns Hestedrosche terminated their lease on their small corner in Islands Brygge where it stood for 15 years. We will keep this cache active to honor the site where Københavns Hestedrosche once stood.
Københavns Hestedrosche or Copenhagen Horse Taxis have been around for more than 30 years. It was first located in Amalieborg, then Kødbyen, and finally at it's current location in Islands Brygge. Now, Københavns Hestedrosche has a small triangle of land on the corner of Sturlasgade.
When the weather is nice, you can often see their horse carriages roaming the streets, carrying happy tourists around the city. With their carriages, you can take a unique tour of the city and step back in time to old Copenhagen. As the surrounding buildings in the area get modernized, you can still get a glimpse of what life was like before modern inventions and ... geocaching!
Inside the cache is a small log and a pencil.
To discover the cache, you must find the missing numbers in the coordinates for the actual cache.
1. Start at the initial coordinates. What is the first number on the wooden sign on the chain fence? This number is A.
2. Go Northwest about 111m. You will come across a grey sign that says “IB 4__”. The number after IB 4, make up B.
3. Turn and continue South for about 180m. (If you pass a place where you can receive packages, you’re on the right street). How many large rocks are there at this entrance to the park? With the number of large rocks, multiply that number by B. This answer will give you C.
4. You now have all of the missing numbers to solve the coordinates.
