The Chinese Garden holds the potential to enrich the town of Avocas sense of place in a physical manner that will speak to the shared heritage with the Chinese people. It will create a lasting opportunity to host festivals, take tai chi classes or even quietly reflect. The goal of the finished project is to allow for transformation to occur through the minds and hearts of the town while offering a legacy and point of interest to Avocas tourism sector and heritage.
The Avoca Chinese Garden Small Town Transformation was completed in September 2014, and the opening ceremony was held in October 2014.
Since then, hundreds of visitors have come from far and wide to revel in the peace and spirituality this exquisite slice of serenity offers.
