During the 2013-14 school year we hosted an exchange student, David, who was from Sweden. He became friends with Alex through their mutual participation on the school track team. Tragically, Alex was killed in a car accident on his way home from a track team get together. He was an Eagle Scout and he and his family were heavily involved in scouting, the community, the school, and their church.
Recently, we were walking in the nature area pulling a series that needed to be archived. Imagine our surprise when we came to the old, dilapadated, tilted bridge and instead found a beautiful new bridge with a sign nearby. How wonderful that Josh Theisen would honor his fellow Scout and friend in this manner. We wanted to place a cache so that others could read the sign and experience the nature area.
