You are searching for a small Container not far off the gravel trail. The Town of Pelham is turning an old railway property into a recreational trail for hikers, cyclists and Geocachers.
Work started last year on the still-to-be-named “rail trail” and when all is done, it will be about six kilometres long. The trail will extend from Centennial Park in Fenwick to the town’s edge on Murdoch Street. It will be a gravel walkway predominantly for walking and cycling. The rail line land was given to the town decades ago after the railway closed. Some of the sections that have to be cleared have large stone and are overgrown. “It was really 35 years of being abandoned and not used,” he said. The Town of Pelham earned provincial recognition in 2014 for being a walkable community. The Walk Friendly Community bronze designation was awarded by Green Communities Canada. Congratulations to DCBRJ for FTF
