This is one of several caches that I am putting out on Big Bradford Lake, which is a flooding just south of Waters, Michigan. Geocachers can access these caches by kayak or canoe, or perhaps by a swim through fishy, sometimes weedy waters.
Big Bradford Lake is good for fishing, relaxing and wildlife viewing, with eagles, loons, kingfishers, ducks, turtles and muskrats among the bounty. It makes for easy and fun kayaking, but keep your eyes peeled not just for the markers that indicate submerged obstacles, but for other barely submerged stumps/trees. Water level fluctuates, depending on weather, rain run off and the nearby small dam. You will need to bring your own writing instrument. All caches are placed so that they can be easily retrieved from your kayak/canoe; you might bring a spare bungee cord to hold your vessel in place while you search, retrieve and sign, but if you forget one, you should still have no problem. The caches are lightly concealed and not meant to be evil or devious. Early evening is my favorite time out here—loon calls, fish jumping and friendly pontooners making their way around the lake.
