Church Micro 9536… Leysdown, named St Clements.
This is a demolished church on the isle of Sheppey.
The church was demolished around 1990, maybe a few years earlier. The church was atop the slight hill, and a very few odd stones can still be seen.
A previous church building here had some interesting history, it was in a dilapidated state, and had to be rebuilt. The tower was leaning at a staggering angle and the top was more than 7ft adrift of the walls of the church buildings. Services during this time took place in a shed.
The church was again demolished just recently and will unlikely ever to be replaced. Services now take place in nearby Harty and Eastchurch. The church yard is still in use and maintained by the council.
The cache is nearby but you need to work out the coords from the information you find at the posted coords.
