I have created a multi-cache which explores the old granite bridges of Errollston Woods while taking in the natural beauty of this pictureseque little village that I once called home. Each cache contains coordinates to the next and you must sign the logbook at the final location to claim a find. Please allow at least 1 hour for this trail and be very careful to replace each container exactly as you found them.
You will be walking through the woods so sensible footwear is advised.
The multi-cache starts by walking along main street past the Tryggve Gran monument towards an old bridge that crosses the water of Cruden, where you will find the first of four caches. Please be careful in this area as it is quite overgrown and the cache is placed very close to the river. Head back towards the car park then enter the woods and take a sharp left to approach the next cache site. Once you have the third set of coordinates cross the bridge and follow the path running parallel to the river. Bear left and head up the small hill until you reach a large field before turning left again. Soon you will join another path which will lead you to the next cache. Now follow the path straight ahead through the woods. Bear right and walk along the side of the burn until you reach the A975 heading to Peterhead. Cross the road and you will be approaching the fourth and final cache site, all that is left now is to sign the logbook.....
