Geocache Description:

The 7 Bridges walk explores the land surrounding Ballater and takes in some stunning scenery. It is a circular walk now that the Polhollick Bridge has been rebuilt following the flood of 2015.

This is the first on this section of the walk. A car park with space for around 6 cars (possibly more) and several picnic benches - perfect for lunch before or after taking the walk. There is also plenty of space for a good old fashioned picnic blanket overlooking the river. The first section of the walk is buggy accessible and child friendly - it becomes more difficult for buggies after "Twit Twoo" but is still child friendly.

This cache is located on a path just off of the main path on the rivers edge. Step down, duck under the branch and very close by on your left you'll find the cache. A nice easy find to start you off.

After very heavy rain or snow melt the river levels may rise - please use common sense when getting this cache. It should be safe from the elements but as we've seen recently sometimes water has a mind of it's own and rises beyond anyones expectations.

Placed with the kind permission of Invercauld Estate and Scottish Natural Heritage.
