Night time is the right time to retrace the steps of the Well Tender's spirit. If you’re lucky and quiet, you might hear the mournful groans of the old well tender as you near his beloved place of employment. Liking his Creek-side job over a desk or warehouse type, the well tender was saddened when his job, along with the Camp 10 area was closed down. His spirit now haunts the grounds around Camp 10 and his spirit frequently visits the well and it's infrastructure as if it still needed to be looked after. Be respectful of this place and his spirit will kindly guide you along roads, old and new, with bright reflective tacks. Double tacks mark an abrupt turn in the trail. White reflectors marks the way into the well and past it to where your reward will be found. The GZ area is marked by three white tacks and this ends the white trail. The way out is marked with green reflectors and you will not retrace any but the beginning steps you've taken thus far. Be sure to stay on track and look for stepping stones. It can be a bit damp in places. You might want to wear your well tender or, geocaching boots.
