La escultura de Hércules situada en la zona conocida popularmente como «el puente», en la pasarela situada sobre el antiguo foso de la Almina que, se denomina «Las dos columnas de Hércules: Ábyla y Calpe» y en ella se aprecia a Hércules separando con sus manos los dos continentes, Abyla es el nombre mitológico de Ceuta y Calpe el de Gibraltar.
