A day of firsts! Our first climb up the scenic Mt Boucherie and our first attempt at placing our own geocache. Our daughters just recently discovered their first geocache up on the KVR and are excited to continue more journeys both to discover more geocaches and place their own.
This is a relatively easy geocache to find access and find. There is a recently built, very accessible path that begins at a smallish parking lot off of East Boundary Rd (south aspect of Mt Boucherie) and ultimatelty takes you to the top of the mountain. It's a great family hike and the view at the top is a great reward. Along the way, informational signs are placed, describing flora and fauna. We designed our first geocache to be readily accessible to younger families, such as our our own. The cache is only a few metres off of the pathway.
