Geocache Description:

I wanted to bring a new cache to the arboretum that would be fun for geo-kids. This one may even require that the finder be kid-sized to be able to easily access the hide! The arboretum is located on the University of Guelph, and is open year-round. The numerous trails offer a wealth of ecological diversity. Take the time to enjoy the gardens, trees, ponds, and the occasional sculpture. Parking is free for visitors.

The arboretum is well known for its plants, but few people know that it is also the home to several species of fairies. The thicket fairy builds its home in dense brush and is known to be very shy - they often fly away and hide when they hear people coming. Their home is often camouflaged and may be difficult to spot from above. It may be easiest for an adventurous child-sized cacher to obtain this hide! Oh, and my mini-cacher Sr would like to make it clear that SHE placed this hide, not me! Update Dec. 2016 Disaster struck the thicket fairy community this fall when their home was destroyed by roadwork. They have rebuilt, but on a much smaller scale. You are now looking for a bison tube.
