GATE TO PARK HAS BEEN CLOSED. YOU'LL HAVE TO WALK IN TO GET YOUR SMILEY.
Oakland Bay Historical Park is a hidden gem tucked away just before the Sentry Mini Storage off Agate Road in Shelton, WA. The park is open year round from daylight to dusk. NOTE: In the winter, the park is only open Fri, Sat, Sun, and holidays. No dogs are allowed in the park. There are bathrooms available in the parking area, as well as near the historical house located in the park. Here, there are picnic tables to enjoy a pack in picnic. Well maintained paths are enjoyable for adults and children alike.
This log only BYOP cache is located on the way to the main parking area. There is a large pullout just before GZ. Park here, so you do not block the one lane road to the park. The area is heavily forested, so the GPS may jump around, but GPS should get you within 10' of GZ. Don't forget to BYOP!
Please don't forget your insect repellent!
This cache's location is placed in memory of my mother. "Lil' Red Riding Hood" by Sam the Sham and the Pharoahs was one of her favorite songs.
There is a small prize for FTF.
Congrats to PNWnerds for the FTF!
