Bring a book to trade! Yes, you heard correctly! Nothing can capture the imagination than a beautiful walk (or drive) through the woods to a small (ammo can size) free library to share a story and an adventure! I ask if you plan to take a book, please put one in its place. This ensures there's always a book for the next person. The container is an ammo can so keep the size of the book in mind when choosing. I decided to put my book in a plastic bag to help protect it from the elements. I am very aware that this small book trade may fail because of the moisture but I figured... Why not give it a go!
This cache is much more than a book trade though, it's two miles deep into the woods. If you arrive to the area during game season, you can drive most of the way to ground zero. If you choose to drive or walk, you will be surrounded by the wonderful sounds of nature. Pay attention to the sounds of the woods. It's simply amazing! All the life going on around you and you can't see any of it! Also, turn your music off and roll the windows down. Let the nature consume you. I believe you'll find it very soothing to your soul! If you choose to walk, enjoy it!
On your journey to the Free Little Library in the Woods, you will pass the highest point in Montour County. 1,380' above sealevel.
This geocache is placed on state game lands so follow ALL game land rules and regulations and you must wear a bright colored vest during hunting seasons. DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS CACHE AT NIGHT! There are homes nearby at one point of the trail and we do not want to be disrespectful to our neighbors!!
Enjoy your journey!!
P.s. If you're up for a challenge. Try my nightcache "OUTBREAK" (premium cache) at the beginning of these same lands!
